The Washington Capitals unveiled a specialty jersey honoring the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States — co-designed by U.S. Air Force veteran Patrick J. Sargent and U.S. Navy veteran Fidel GomezTorres.

Club notes highlight adapted Weagle treatments and a shoulder patch with “We the People” plus 1776 / 2026. Sport DMV is summarizing the club release, not inventing wear nights or retail drops beyond what’s published.

Auction: The Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation will auction signed specialty jerseys and pucks from Tuesday, Oct. 6 (noon) through Thursday, Oct. 15 (3 p.m.) at washcaps.com/250auction, benefiting Our Military Kids (extracurricular awards for children of deployed Guard/Reserve and veterans in combat-related care). The Capitals page is the hub.
