Full go — with a brace and a division to chase

Offensive coordinator David Blough put the soft language away on Thursday: Jayden Daniels is full go for Sunday against the Giants, no limitations on the practice plan. Daniels was a full participant Wednesday, his first full session since the left-elbow dislocation in Dallas. The brace stays on the non-throwing arm the rest of the season — elbow held slightly bent so another plant-and-pop is harder to force.

Dan Quinn's group has been drilling the ugly protection habits on purpose: clasp the ball, roll like a running back, throw it away when the pocket dies. Minnesota last year was the cautionary tape. Daniels, after seeing multiple specialists, said he is at peace with playing. "It's my non-throwing arm," he said — as long as the right one can attack.

Why Sunday is oxygen

Washington is 1-3, 0-2 in the East, coming off the London loss that also cost Marcus Mariota (MCL; expected to miss before the Week 7 bye). The emergency arm is seventh-rounder Athan Kaliakmanis. The Giants enter 3-1 and first in the division. A home win gets Washington to 2-3 with a first division checkmark before the schedule turns mean (49ers on Monday night, then Eagles and Rams after the bye window).

Bettors have Washington as a home favorite with Daniels expected under center — the market's tell matches the clubhouse tell.
