MoCo Week 8 — Churchill edges Seneca Valley 14-13 after the delay

Storm delay, then a one-point finish

Montgomery’s loudest scoreboard moment Friday was Churchill 14, Seneca Valley 13 — a last-second finish after a heavy rain delay, per DC News Now. Elsewhere the county card mixed shutouts and one-scores.

Locked MoCo results (High School On SI): Damascus 56, Einstein 0; Gaithersburg 21, Richard Montgomery 19; Northwest 20, Walter Johnson 0; Paint Branch 16, Whitman 0; Poolesville 37, Watkins Mill 0; Bethesda-Chevy Chase 20, Blake 19. Quince Orchard vs Clarksburg was postponed to Oct. 19.

Playoff math is starting to matter on both ends of 355. Confirm next week’s kicks on MCPS athletic boards and the Montgomery HS desk.
