A different downtown

Mystics home games live at Entertainment and Sports Arena, the same South Capitol building the Go-Go use in winter. That is a feature: one neighborhood arena for two Washington basketball clubs, not a Caps/Wizards concourse clone.

If you’re coming from PG County, from east of the river, or from the suburbs via I-295, this is a different logistics problem than Gallery Place. We’ll treat it that way — useful, not romantic.

What to actually watch

The basketball. The crowd. Whether a weeknight still sells. That’s the local story. National WNBA coverage can do the rest.
