Nats offseason calendar — free agency clock, GM Meetings, non-tenders
World Series ends dictate when free agents open. GM Meetings are Nov. 9–12 in Las Vegas; non-tender deadline is Nov. 20. Washington finished 77-85.

Quiet week, hard dates ahead
The Nationals are done for 2026 — 77-85, an 11-win jump and the most wins since 2019 (MLB.com). The stove now runs on the World Series clock: the day after the champion is crowned, expiring contracts become free agents and a five-day exclusive window opens; unrestricted free agency follows five days later. Treat those as date TBA until the Series ends — do not invent a Monday.
Pinned dates that do not move with Game 7: GM Meetings Nov. 9–12 in Las Vegas, then the non-tender deadline Nov. 20. Arbitration-eligible names on Spotrac-style lists include CJ Abrams, Jake Irvin, Jacob Young, Josiah Gray, and others — expect Abrams and Young to be tendered; the rest are front-office math for Paul Toboni, Ani Kilambi, and manager Blake Butera in year one as a full-season trio.
Toboni has already framed the winter around payroll flexibility and “creative” ways to get better without boxing out 2028 — short-term free agents and deadline chips remain on the table until they are not. Watch awards noise (Daylen Lile as a Gold Glove finalist per local roundups) as color, not a free-agent blueprint.
The Nationals page is the hub.
