The Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 9-2 on Friday, Aug. 28 at Nationals Park.

Brady House cleared the bases with a three-run homer to left-center (445 feet) in the third after a wild pitch and catcher error had already put Washington ahead. Harry Ford homered in the seventh; Dylan Crews doubled in two; Daylen Lile tripled in another. Jackson Kent threw seven innings of one-run ball for his first major-league win (1-2). Miami’s Xavier Edwards and Héctor Hernández accounted for the visitors’ runs. Washington is 64-73; Miami 68-67.
