Washington arrives off a 2-1 comeback at Portland on Sep. 6 — the club’s first win ever at Providence Park. Tara Rudd equalized in the second half; Mélissa Bethi scored her first Spirit goal in the 80th for the winner. Head coach Adrián González picked up his 28th regular-season win, the most in club history.
