UVA hosts Duke Friday night — Family Weekend at Scott Stadium

Friday ACC home date — Duke at Scott Stadium

Virginia is 4-3 and 2-2 in the ACC heading into Friday’s 7 p.m. home game against Duke at Scott Stadium. Family Weekend and a wear-blue ask are the fan package; the football ask is simpler after a 13-23 loss at SMU — finish drives and keep an ACC home night from slipping.

Tony Elliott’s group already has signature wins and hard road lessons this fall. A Friday night under the lights in Charlottesville is the kind of date that can stabilize a record before the Cavaliers leave for Wake Forest on Oct. 31.
