Wizards 114-108 Pistons in OT — Riley and Tre Johnson lead the close
Preseason. Tied 98-98 after four; Washington outscores Detroit in OT. Brooklyn Monday at Cap One next.

Final/OT — Wizards 114, Pistons 108 (preseason)
Regulation ended 98-98. Overtime belonged to the home bench and the young wings. Washington closed 114-108 over Detroit at Capital One Arena on a Saturday night that was always going to be camp tape — and still delivered a real finish.
Will Riley and Tre Johnson led the Wizards with 15 points each. AJ Dybantsa (14 points, 7 boards) and Kyshawn George (14) kept the second unit loud. Justin Champagnie punched in 12, including a dunk in the OT stretch. Anthony Davis posted a quiet star line — 10 points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes — and Trae Young barely dented the scoring column. That is preseason load management, not a riddle.
How the overtime broke
Detroit's Ebuka Okorie (14 points) kept answering early in the extra period. Washington answered with Riley's three, Champagnie's finishes, and free throws that stretched the lead to 114-108 by the final horn. Treat every possession as film: who closed, who turned it over, who got the defensive rebound when the game was still tied.
