Gameday — Daniels starts vs Giants at Northwest (1 p.m. FOX)

Gameday — Giants at Commanders

Jayden Daniels is back under center. Dan Quinn confirmed Friday that Daniels is cleared to start against the New York Giants after missing two games with a dislocated left elbow — brace and all — at Northwest Stadium, Sunday, Oct. 11, 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX (radio: BIG 100.3).

Washington is 1-3. New York is 3-1 and sits atop the NFC East. This is the third division game in five weeks for the Burgundy and Gold; a home win is the shortest path back into the scramble.

Locked outs / watches (club + Giants inactive notes)

| Status | Commanders |

| --- | --- |

| Starting QB | Jayden Daniels (cleared; left-elbow brace) |

Giants materials list Malik Nabers as available after working through a knee scare earlier in the week — treat final inactives as live until the sheet posts.

What the afternoon is about

Daniels said the brace is "kind of a part of me now" and that the plan is day-by-day execution, not a revenge subplot. Fine. The football problem is simpler: Washington's offense has been punching below its draft pedigree without him, and the defense is giving up 30.5 points per game (ESPN). If McLaurin is limited or out, the intermediate game has to come from the rest of the room — not hope.

Giants will test the edges. If Daniels' first series is clean — checkdowns, no forced left-side throws into the brace — Northwest can breathe. If the first drive is a three-and-out scramble scramble, the crowd will get loud for the wrong reasons.

Kickoff is 1:00. We will run the ledger after the final.
