Playoffs — Mystics at Dream Game 1 Sunday, 7 p.m. on Prime

Game 1 — Sunday in Atlanta

The Washington Mystics open the WNBA playoffs against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, Sep. 27, tip listed 7:00 p.m. ET on Prime Video at State Farm Arena.

Format is best of three. Seeds: Mystics No. 5, Dream No. 4. Washington took the regular-season series 2-1 (WJLA). Game 2 is Wednesday, 7 p.m. at CareFirst Arena (ESPN per WJLA). Game 3 (if necessary) is Oct. 2 in Atlanta.

Shakira Austin left Thursday’s Sky finale with an undisclosed injury and is listed questionable for Sunday (WJLA). Sport DMV is not inventing a diagnosis or minutes projection — confirm the club report before tip. A franchise-best regular season still has to survive a road opener; that is the only story that matters until the ball goes up.

Sport DMV read

Playoff basketball starts on the road for a Mystics club that just rewrote the franchise win book — belief is earned, not automatic. Watch Austin’s status before tip and how Washington handles Atlanta’s first punch; a split heading home to CareFirst on ESPN is the DMV outcome worth playing for.
